Natural Anti Inflammatory Options

If you have chronic inflammation, it's important to talk to your doctor to discuss a plan that will suit you in order to reduce your inflammation.  However, for general inflammation, there are several natural anti-inflammatory options available to you, so we are going to present these to you so you can choose the one which suits you most.  Most inflammation can be controlled naturally by our own diet.  This is the first natural anti inflammatory method we are going to look at.

The Anti-inflammatory Diet

Fruit, vegetables, wild seafood, and lots of it!  The dark the pigment, the better they are generally, so add generous helpings to any meal to benefit from the natural anti-inflammatory properties and fibre content.  To limit the free-radical production in our body, foods such as garlic, oregano, blueberries and even green tea contain bioflavonoids and polyphenols will inhibit the production.

Essential Balance 3-6-9Although fish has been long recognised for health benefits, it's important to try and only use organically produced fish, as a lot of fish contain high levels of mercury and other contaminants.  The higher up the food chain, the more contaminants, so smaller fish like sardines and shellfish are a better choice.

Our modern diet tends to leave our body short of essential fatty acids, so in order to balance this shortage it's a good idea to take a supplement.  Omega Nutrition make the popular Essential Balance 3-6-9 which contains omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9, with natural anti-inflammatory properties.  Using this supplement alone is one of the simplest, most effective, ways to combat chronic inflammation.

Serrapeptase - Nature's Natural Anti-Inflammatory

Serrapeptase, serra enzyme, has been used for 100's of years as a natural anti-inflammatory.  Serrapeptase was originally found within the humble silkworm, but recently it has been grown as a plant form.  The benefits of serrapeptase are endless, from anti-inflammatory to pain relief from almost any ailment or condition.  There are no side-effects either, unlike commercial painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs.

Nature's natural anti-inflammatory, serrapeptase, is available in supplement form such as Serraenzyme, Serraplus, Serranol and Blockbuster Allclear.

Curcumin - A Natural Anti-Inflammatory

Curcumin, the biologically active ingredient found in turmeric, has been used for literally 1000's of years in medicine for its natural healing properties such as anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory.  Don't be tempted to try to get it by eating more turmeric, because it is quite difficult to get absorbed into your body.  The best way is to use a supplement, such as Vibrant Health's Maximized Curcuminoids which contains pepperine which aids in the absorption process.
